Confirmation of the £808 raised at our August two day event held at @ Farmer Parrs.
As you will recall that's in addition to the £700 last year, giving us a total for the two years of over £1500, surely an achievement of which we can all be proud.
We are currently looking at next years event, and feel confident that with your help and support we could make the magic £1000.
Remember, none of it would be possible without you !
Copies will be sent out with the Membership Renewals. Further copies are available to download or collect from Roy Brown at any Monthly Meeting or at a Rally or see a Committee Member.
Despite the weather, which turned nasty, an excellent turnout of engines at Kirkland & Catterall Memorial Hall, event organised by The Fylde Country Life Preservation Society
As you are probably aware, each year, as part of our Spring rally at Farmer Parrs, Fleetwood near Blackpool, we have a tradition that we feature a particular marque or model of engine.
Our Robinson featured event attracted what was possibly one of the largest collection of Robinson engines for some time.
In this connection it has been decided that next spring it would be appropriate to feature the Lister D in what will be its centenary year.
A popular and reliable workhorse, in production for almost forty years, it is sometimes derided as a "starter" or basic engine, but through its long production life it was improved many times and adapted for a multitude of uses and is still rightly a popular exhibit on rally fields.
Our intention is to bring together as many "d's" as possible, with hopefully all models and various applications represented.
