RALLY REPORTS - Updated Apr 30th
Over 25 club members and a few guests, braved the weather on Sunday morning for the first club event of the season.
As part of the themed day, "-Day is here" there were 16 Lister D s on display along with 9 other makes. We didnt make the "100 D s " but we would like to blame that on the weather !!!!,
The restoration quailty of the engines was a credit to the owners, although a couple of engines appeared to be missing a few bits, guess which after you have viewed the video.
Folk say "a Lister D will start "first swing" but that wasnt always the case on Sunday, plenty of huffing and puffing for some.
Despite the cold and the strong gusty wind blowing in, near Artic conditions, there was plenty of chat and gossip whilst setting up the engine row.
That all changed, torrential rain arrived just after 10am and showing now respite, unfortunately "time was called" about 11am.
As one member said, it was "a character building day"
Sadly for those members toasting their toes and enjoying a cuppa at home, the video wasnt streamed on the day.
Need to look forward to the next local rally at Culcheth Community Day
