The Travellers Rest where a pleasing turnout of members were entertained by lively debate on the happenings of the previous year and the arrangements for rallies going forward.
Membership renewals were reported to be progressing well and the current number of members on the database now exceeds the total membership for 2025 as a result of new enthusiasts joining the club.
The members of the Committee were re elected for the current year before the meeting closed for the evening.
As you are probably aware, each year, as part of our Spring rally at Farmer Parrs, Fleetwood near Blackpool, we have a tradition that we feature a particular marque or model of engine.
Our Robinson featured event attracted what was possione of the largest collection of Robinson engines for some time.
In this connection it has been decided that next spring it would be appropriate to feature the Lister D in what will be its centenary year.
A popular and reliable workhorse, in production for almost forty years, it is sometimes derided as a "starter" or basic engine, but through its long production life it was improved many times and adapted for a multitude of uses and is still rightly a popular exhibit on rally fields.
Our intention is to bring together as many "d's" as possible, with hopefully all models and various applications represented.

Despite the weather, which turned nasty, an excellent turnout of engines at Kirkland & Catterall Memorial Hall, event organised by The Fylde Country Life Preservation Society
